Creating ABC ID via DigiLocker Portal

Step 1: Visit the DigiLocker Portal at https://www.digilocker.gov.in.

Step 2: Click on “Sign in.” If you’re a new user, select “Sign up” and fill in the required details. Set a six-digit PIN for added security and verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 3: Sign out and then sign back in using your registered credentials.

Step 4: On the home page, click “Join Now” under the Academic Bank of Credits banner. Fill in your details, including Admission Year and Identity Type (Roll Number, Registration Number, etc.). Select your academic institution from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: Review the consent statement and click “Get Document.” Your ABC ID will appear in the “Issued Documents” section. Download the PDF version of your ID.

Creating ABC ID via UMANG Portal

Step 1: Visit the UMANG Portal at https://web.umang.gov.in/landing/.

Step 2: Click on “Login/Register.” New users should select “Register here,” enter their mobile number, and verify with the OTP sent.

Step 3: Set your security PIN and configure account recovery options.

Step 4: On the dashboard, click the login button for ABC ID services. Provide consent and proceed.

Step 5: In the Issued Document section, search for “ABC” and select “Academic Bank of Credits.” Fill in your Admission Year, Identity Type, and academic institution details.
